About Jane Hord
Evidence needed as daughter of John Redd & Mary Redd
Jane was the wife of John Hord. Together with her husband and son, Thomas Hord - Gentleman, she immigrated to Virginia from England about 1702. John and Elizabeth settled on a plantation they established in Caroline County, VA around 1715. They called their plantation Shady Grove. There, they raised 10 children. Elizabeth [sic] predeceased her husband about 1747.
Disputed origins
“Some researchers suggest that she was daughter of Thomas Redd, but the dating suggests it is more likely she was his sister.”

There is no evidence that she was Elizabeth Jane Redd, only what people have copied from various sources with no evidence to back this up.
We know now that what has been written by the Rev, Arnold Harris Hord on the early Hord family of Virginia is flawed.
