"November 25, 1767, Mordecai Hord and Thomas Jefferson, 3rd President of the United States of America were elected vestrymen of Fredericksville Parish, Louisa County, Virginia. Mordecai Hord was also warden of this parish. He resigned from the vestry in 1770."
