Ethel Gregory Tripp, age 90, of Jenkins Nursing Home in Wellston, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born to the late Calvin Everett and Bessie Ann Bond Gregory. She is survived by one sister, Merle Patterson of Allensville, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Tripp, whom she married in May of 1941, in March of 1953, one sister, Oma Graves, three brothers, Howard, Robert and William Gregory, four infant brothers, one infant niece, one infant nephew, one nephew and one great-great nephew. In 2002, Ethel was diagnosed with leukemia and was still battling the cancer, when on February 18, 2008 she had a heart attack. She was taken to Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio, where she passed away at about 2:30 A.M. on February 19, 2008. Ethel was buried in Hamden Cemetery.
