About Flandrina de Braose
Primary sources needed. Not listed in FMG MedLands as a child of William III de Braose and Mathilde de Saint-Valery. http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/ENGLISHNOBILITYMEDIEVAL3.htm#_Toc28...
Cited in Wikipedia (source: D. G. C. Elwes, "A History of the Castles, Mansions and manors of western Sussex" (London: 1876) [pedigree] opp p48*; account of Bramber Castle pp. 45-48) as "Abbess of Godstow", (elected 1242, deposed 1248" - source: L. F. Salzman (ed.), The Victoria History of the County of Oxford, (London: 1907) p75). This would make her arguably the youngest child of William and Maud de St. V., although the VCH does not name her family.
- * Loretta, Alianora, and Flandrina are all shown on the lower end of their generation (Alianora twice, once as Annora); the upper end is defective due to folded-over page. https://archive.org/details/ahistorycastles01robigoog/page/n83
