John Shaw was born about 1653 in Weymouth, Massachusetts Bay Colony. He is the son of John Shaw and Alice Phillips.[1]

John married Hannah Whitmarsh about 1678, probably in Weymouth. They had six children.[2]

He was made a freeman on October 12, 1681, as "John Shaw, Jr." He was a weaver and a deacon of the First Church.[2]

John Shaw died March 2, 1717/8, in Weymouth.[2][3] His last will and testament dated 26 Feb 1717/8, proved 10 May 1718. names beloved wife Hannah, his sons Joseph and Abraham, daughter Mary Lovell and his youngest sons John and Benjamin.
