About Jan Pietersz Sweelinck

Jan Pieterzoon Sweelinck is regarded as the last of the great Netherlands polyphonists, and discovering his music is an exciting adventure. Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck composed a great many fine keyboard works, and he was also a masterly composer of vocal music. It is indeed strange that many Dutch know him only from a street name or his portrait on the old 25-guilder bank notes.
