Joan de Pulford was the wife of John Belgrave. Her she held many lands around Eccleston, Chesire. Later in life, Joan married Robert le Grosvenor, and took her lands with her to that marriage. When Sir Robert married Joan de Pulford, he added large areas of land to an already vast portfolio around Eaton. Eaton became the family seat of the Grosvenor when Ralph Grosvenor married Joan Eaton in 1345.
