Will book 2, Fayetteville, Lincoln Co, TN - 4/09/1840</line><line /><line>John Dudley's last will and testament. In the name of God Amen. I, John Dudley of the County of Lincoln & State of Tennessee, Being weak in body But of sound mind & Disposing memory & calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly substance as it hath pleased God to bless me with in manner following to wit that is to say after all my just debt is paid </line><line /><line>1st, I will and desire that my wife Nancy M Dudley have my Land & Farm & farming Tools and all my household & Kitchen furniture and all my Stock of Horses (?) Cattle Sheep & hogs her natural lifetime or widowhood.</line><line /><line>2nd, I will and desire that my son Ignatius have Fifty cents</line><line /><line>3rd, I will & desire that my son James L Dudley have fifty cents</line><line /><line>4th, I will and desire that my son Wiley Dudley have fifty cents</line><line /><line>5th, I will and desire that my daughter Polly Mitchel have fifty cents</line><line /><line>6th, and at my wife death my property to be Equally divided Between the Ballance of my Children to wit: Elizabeth, William, John S., Nicolas & Virgil A Stew</line><line /><line>7th, and lastly I constitute and appoint my friend John F Couser (?) & Nancy M Dudley Executors to this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other or former will or Testaments by me heretofore made in testamony whereof I have herewith set my hand & affixed my seal this ninth day of April 1840.</line><line /><line>(signed) John T Dudley (seal)</line><line /><line>In presence of</line><line /><line>John Enochs</line><line /><line>Isaac Collins</line><line /><line>John F Couser</line><line /><line />
