About John Rice, of North Walsham
He was baptized in 1630 as the (apparently) illegitimate son of Margaret Rice. Nothing is known of his later life.
North Walsham - baptisms for children of John and Mary Rice (son John 1668 & daughter Mary 1669) also William bapt 1665 and Thomas bapt 1675, father John (no mother's name) It's possible, though by no means certain, that the father, John, was the illegitimate son (John Rice, of North Walsham) of Margaret Rice bapt there in 1630.
Geni user Dale Rice believes he was the same person as John Rice, of Dedham. Rev. John Allin, of Dedham, grew up near North Walsham and attended school there.
This John Rice stayed in England as far as we know....His mother is believed to be Margaret ap Rice 12 years old and daughter of Pricillia and Perrot ap Rice of Tenby Wales. She would have been transported to the birth location by ship as Perrot ap Rice had that available through his fathe John Peratt II 1565. The Merchant ship he had salvadged the Summer before in August 1629 according to History of Pembrooshire on line was done by John Perrot not the knight as he was dead in the Tower of London 1592. John Perrot listed in the article can only be John Peratt II or his son by unknown woman ca 1582-84. (The Grave for John Peratt II is located at St. Ishmael's Cove adjacent to Havorford West Harbor).
