Jonathan Mendum, Jr., married Sarah, dau. of Joshua Downing. Had a grant of 30 acres in 1699. Was a shipwright, His widow married Joseph Curtis, 7 May 1719, and was adm'x of estate of Jonathan Mendum in 1726. One item in the administration was for "bringing up one child 5 years until it was seven years old." Children: Patience, Mary, Jonathan, Alice, Robert, Joshua, Dorothy, David. [ref 33:606]

Jonathan II was the son of Jonathan & his first wife, Mary (Raynes) Mendum

He married as her second husband, Sarah Downing, daughter of Joshua & Patience (Hatch) Dowing, in ME

Their children were;
