About Katherine (Toni) Silber - Hiilivirta
Miss Katherine Toni Oppenheimer and Eino Ilmari Hiilivirta, a chemical engineer of St. John, Virgin Islands, plan to be married April 25 in Paris. The future bride is a daughter of Mrs. J. Robert Oppenheimer of Princeton, N. J., and St. John, widow of Dr. Oppenheimer, the physi cist, who helped develop the atomic bomb.
Miss Oppenheimer, who is fluent in several languages, recently left the United Nations, where she worked as a secretary, to prepare for the wedding in France. Her mother, who has been traveling in Europe, plans to attend the ceremony.
The future bride is a graduate of Miss Fine's School in Princeton and Oberlin College. Her fiancé is the son of Mrs. Eino Hiilivirta of Helsinki, Finland, and the late Dr. Hiilivirta, a veterinarian. The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Institute of Technology at Tampere, Finland. He has become a citizen of the United States. The couple plan to have homes in New York and St. John.
Miss Oppenheimer's father, who died in 1967, had headed the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton.
