Kenneth "Ken" Eva (1952 – 2007)

Brief overview:

Ken (54), a farm manager, was killed by an angry mob during a meeting with the eSibhonsweni community over land ownership and evictions on the New Venture farm in the Melmoth district. 200 people were squatting on the farm. He was bludgeoned to death with knobkerries and sticks.

His wife, Priscilla, placed a cross at the Eshowe farm-site where her husband Ken was murdered by six black South African men whose names are known to the SAPS. She lodged an Intention of Court Action notice for a formal claim of R7,5-m ($750,000) against the SAPS for their gross negligence.
