About Lettie Mae Jacobs
Lettie Mae Jacobs, 82, of 1564 Lovette Road, died Dec. 22, 2011, at her home.
Jacobs was born in Robeson County on July 31, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Faulk Hunt Jr. and Evelyn Mitchell Hunt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Faulk Hunt Jr. and Evelyn Mitchell Hunt; a brother, Vardell Hunt; a daughter, Pattie Ann Jacobs; and a granddaughter, Kimberly "Kim" J. Locklear.
She is survived by her two sons, Billy Dale Jacobs and Stevie Dale Jacobs of Lumberton; six daughters, Elizabeth Chavis of Lexington, Rose Marie Jacobs of Lumberton, Anita Jacobs of the home, Gloria Hunt of Orrum, Subrina Hunt of Lumberton, and Lisa Jacobs Berry of Lenior; a brother, Cornelius Hunt of Stone Mountain, Ga.; two sisters, Clara Dale Brayboy of Maxton and Dora Lee Hunt of Maxton; 22 grandchildren, among them Cameron Jacobs of the home; and 23 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Faith of Calvary Baptist Church, the Revs. Chalmers Kerns and James Mitchell Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in Benson Chapel Church Cemetery.
