I) According to a newspaper article of 30.07.1934 (nr. 31, p. 3), he committed suicide with Veronal (which he seems to have taken after his wife and daugther went to bed), and was found by his family on 28.07.1934. Although he was brought to hospital, he died there one day later. In the article, it is mentioned that L.H. Hechter was a company representative for several companies and spent most of his time in Poland. He came back from his latest business trip about two months before hissuicide. The couple is reported to have lead a good marriage. Maybe economical problems were the reason for his suicide.
