Margaret Shaw's husband was John Houston He is said to be the son of John Houston and his wife Sarah Tod and Sir John Houston of that Ilk, Baronet is in fact the son of Sir John Houston of that Ilk, 2nd Baronet and his wife Anne Drummond It seems that Sir John Houston of that Ilk, Baronet did also marry a lady named Dame Margaret Shaw but she died on 29 January 1750, Stirnet: Shaw 01 and Margaret Shaw, here treated, is reported to have died in 1747, at Augusta County in Colonial Virginia.
