Jacob Amsel OPPENHEIMER (1778-1845) was a partner in the Hamburg bank of Salomon HEINE, Levin HERTZ, and Martin Anton HECKSCHER. After Martin Anton HECKSCHER retired from the bank in 1812, the three other partners continued the bank until it was dissolved in 1818, then each remaining partner founded his own bank in his own name. Jacob Amsel OPPENHEIMER was married to Esther HECKSCHER, daughter of Abraham Marcus HECKSCHER, and siblings were 1. Marton Anton HECKSCHER of the bank, and 2.
