Mary G. FOSTER was born February 20, 1847; died September 13, 1915, at her home in Taylor Township, aged sixty-eight years, six months and twenty-three days. She was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth {QUILLEN} HATFIELD, and was born and reared in Taylor Township. She was married to Samuel R. FOSTER, March 7, 1866. Had she lived until next March they would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. To this union were born three sons, Joseph E., deceased, Clarence and Leonidas, and one daughter Carrie. The three last named and their father remain to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother. There are ten grandchildren whom she loved almost as dearly as her own children, ever having their welfare at heart. Two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth HAYWOOD and Mrs. N. J. SIMONS, and four half-brothers also survive her. She united with the Church of Christ at Antioch at a very early age, and continued in the faith until her home going. The funeral services were held at the Antioch Church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by Elder T. A. COX, and attended by a very large concourse of friends, neighbors and relatives, after which she was laid to reset in the Antioch Cemetery until the waiting time is over.
