Mary Mychel was probably born in the hamlet called Rawkerayne, very close to Colyton in Devon, England. She was baptised at St. Andrew's in Colyton on December 4, 1576. Her parents were John Mychel and Emlyn Weeke. On October 10, 1602, she married Rawkey Dolbair of Colyton at St. Andrew's. Mary and Rawkey had at least seven children baptised at St. Andrew's in Colyton. Rawkey was a yeoman in the Cadhayne part of Colyton. Mary died in September 1648 in Colyton, and was buried on the 20th of September in the churchyard of St. Andrew's Church.
