'Mary “Polly” Hudson', was born about 1704 in Hanover County, VA. She married John Wingfield of Kent County and Hanover County, VA, in 1720. (IGI) They were the parents of Lt. Mary was the wife of John Wingfield (1695-1759) of Hanover County, Virginia. They were the parents of Charles Wingfield (c. 1728-1803) of Albemarle Co., Va, a Revolutionary War Patriot and signer of the "Albemarle Declaration of Independence", 1779. Another signer of this document was Thomas Jefferson, our third president.

Mary and John were married in 1720.
