from a cousin's translation of the Alenfit book's entry for Titland Bygdebok for Alenfit by Nils Hjelmtveit ... [et al.] published Oslo : Sverre Kildahls boktrykkeri, 1968-1981 [S.l.] : Lindås Sogelag, 2007 Band II A. Andre opplaget, med 2 hefter innbundet: Tillegg og rettingar.
"from the Titland-page: "5. Mons Knutson f. kr. (født kring = born approx.) 1665 d. kr. 1725 (...)" and further, the small lettered-text is translated: "That same year (1680), Knut S. Titland and Matias Skare was fined for wedding "over time". After that, one would think that Mons was son of Knut Knutson at South Titland, but he can not be, for he is not mentioned in the inheritance settlement after him in 1707. But he is probably the son of number 3 here at North Titland and it must be written S. instead of N in the financial statements for 1680-1681."
- 3 at N. Titland is Knut, who was probably married to one of the sisters of #2 at N. Titland.
- 2 at N. Titland is Alver (but also mentioned Olfr and Halver) Andersson, the son of #1 at N. Titland. He had the farm, with his wife and two of his sisters in 1645.
- 1 at N. Titland is Anders, who had the farm until 1618.
So this is why I wrote that "Knut" and "? Andersdatter Nore Titland" as parents of Mons Knutson Nore Titland."
