Ruth Kreinik, Feb 24, 2013:"When I told you a little bit about my father's teen years as an immigrant in NY and after watching the YouTube of the shtetl where he apparently grew up I wondered as I haven't before today what his life was like then and how strong he must have been to have picked up and left that town virtually on his own. Amazing I think. I think he was always an unfulfilled, not terribly happy adult, in his young years wanting so much to be an actor on the Yiddish stage on Second Avenue . He succeeded in doing bit parts with the Maurice Schwartz company but he gave it up to become a husband and father. He met my mother and fell in love with her at first sight and the rest as they say, is history."

Ruth Kreinik, his daughter, Feb 22, 2013: "Oh my...thank you, David. What a shock to see the name Kreinick half-way thru. My father was born there in 1897 and probably arrived in New York around 1912 (give or take a year maybe). I know he was quite young and on his own until he made contact with 'Uncle' who relieved him of his outdoor bed (a park bench) and took him in. "

Ruth Kreinik, Feb 26, 2013: 2. My parent's Certificate of Marriage from February 21, 1932 printed in both Hebrew and English issued in Brooklyn NY. The document is an odd size - about 12" X 15.5. After so many years, it isn't in tact. It's actually split into 6 pieces the way it was folded. It can be put together with Scotch tape on the back. I'm reluctant to even try.
