Prescott Sheldon Bush (May 15, 1895 – October 8, 1972) was an American banker and politician.[1] After working as a Wall Street executive investment banker, he represented Connecticut in the United States Senate from 1952 to 1963. He was the father of 41st United States President George H.W. Bush, and the paternal grandfather of former Texas Governor and President George W. Bush and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush.[2].
He died of cancer in 1972 at age 77 at Memorial Hospital in New York City,[1] and was interred at Putnam Cemetery in Greenwich, Connecticut.

He was the son of Samuel P. Bush and Flora Sheldon.
Prescott Bush married Dorothy Wear Walker (1901–1992) on August 6, 1921, in Kennebunkport, Maine.
