Parents seen as Guy Nee / Cheroenhaka & Fredia M Nee Colston, but the tree is sourced only to Prudence and last name Lassiter. See https://www.geni.com/discussions/241385?msg=1524130

Ethnicity and Residence: Cattashowrock Town. 27345 Aquia Path. Courtland, Virginia 23837 Prudence has direct core enrollees in the Cheroenhaka Nottoway Iroquois and was born circa 1640 and died circa. 1682 She married Robert Lassiter (1635 - 1745) and had Robert Lassiter (1664 - 1764) and Thomas Lassiter (1670 - 1746)* Find A Grave Memorial# 74674849 http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=74674849 Janet Lassiter mentions complications with Robert Lassiter's tree in Ancestry. Robert Lassiter was the son of Thomas George Lassiter. According to this source, Robert was born in 1635 in New Kent, Nansemond, VA, and was married to Prudence of Nottoway, her father being Guy Eason and her mother being Fredia of the Cheroenhaka/Wind Clan. While some sources1, 2, 3, 4 list Robert as a having wife named Prudance Eason (ca. 1637-1675), speculated to be of the Cherokee of the Nottoway, the atdna of Janet Lassiter does not show Native American results, which is not a valid determination if not using k9b Painting on Gedmatch. Thomas and his brother George (ancestor of Janet Lassiter) born on June 2, 1670; however, 1668 is a possibility and they may have not been twins. There are no clear records of this group on the US census done in 1790, wills in 1792 for Joseph L Lassiter as well as one for his son Charles Lassiter in 1803. These are all from NC. It looks like sons of Robert Lassiter migrated to NC in the 1700s as it shows births in Nansemond, VA but deaths in NC.
