This Cemetery has been vandalized the information for this person came from the book, Pomona Cemeteries Vol. II compiled by The Pomona Valley Genealogical Society edited by Mrs. Mary C. Swank, Project Chairman in 1974, it is in the Pomona Public Library. They have noted that Richard was 67 years, 10 months and 7 days old, and his occupation was a Minister and Farmer, Husbandry. He resided in Los Angeles at the time of his death. J.E. Patterson Pomona, Calif. were the Undertakers. Access to this Cemetery must be obtained from the Pomona Historical Society. Additonal information: Richard C. Fryer was born in Dallas County, AL to William and Nancy Fryer. Richard was the husband of Caroline Veazey Fryer they were married in Bibb Co., AL on Oct. 15, 1839. They moved to AR and then on to CA about 1855. They had the following children: John W., James M., Jeremiah, Littleton M., Henry F., Frances L., Louisa J., Dixie C., Erlay, Nora and Mary Ann. On May 14, 1870, a church was organized in the home of Rev. Richard C. Fryer and met in the Spadra School House from 1870 to 1883. Five charter members attended the first meeting. In 1881 it was named Spadra Baptist Church. This church is now the Pomona First Baptist Church on the corner of Holt Blvd. and Garey Ave. in Pomona.
