Joseph born March; Robert born Oct. If in same year, born 7 months apart (which is possible); if Robert born 1848 & Joseph 1849, only 5 months apart. Same 5 months if Robert born 1849 & Joseph 1850. For now ... based on 1860 census, currently only one with both on the same census, Robert is the older @1849 and Joseph younger @1851. Again: Joseph could not be 1850 unless Robert born 1848 (as per 1850 census ... but then Joseph should have been on that 1850 census, which was taken in October).
