About Roy Bernard Sparkia
Roy Sparkia in designed and created the Empire State Building illuminated panels depicting the 7 wonders of the world, and the 8th—the Empire State Building. These 5’ x 7’ crystal resin and stained glass panels were installed in the lobby in 1963.

His widow, Renee Nemerov is the daughter of artist David Nemerov, sister of Howard Nemerov, former Poet Laureate of the United States, and noted photographer Diane Arbus. She is now married to artist Tom Brown.
