The name of Richard Porter's wife has never been proven. Most online trees include a first name Ruth, but that is most likely based on naming conventions of descendents.

Richard Porter married in Weymouth, about 1634/35, a woman who's name is unknown. Torrey in "New England Marriages Prior to 1700" states her name as unproven to be Ruth. "The Great Migration: Immigrants to New England, 1634-1635" and "A genealogy of the descendants of Richard Porter" include no first, last, or maiden name.

Many online trees have her maiden name as "Dorcet" or "Dorset", although that is most referring to the location in England that some people think that Richard came from.

Richard, the husband was born about 1612 based on the age at immigration. He might be the Richard Porter, son of Richard Porter, who was baptised on 30 Aug 1612 in Cranborne, Dorset, England, but even this yet to be proven as of 4/31/2021.
