PLACES LIVED: Greene & Washington Counties in Pennsylvania; Athens County, Ohio; Richland County, Wisconsin; Marshall County, West Virginia; Montgomery & Anderson Counties in Kansas; and in 1878 arrived in Chouteau, Cherokee Nation, I.T. He later moved to his final home in Keystone, Pawnee County, Oklahoma. His sister Lucy wrote: "Samuel never stopped long enough for his horses to cool off!"
