Unproven origins
It is only speculative that she was the daughter of John and Anne (____) Bancroft. It has not been proven. The connection is based on the fact that a "Widow Bancroft" transferred land in Long Island to John Stratton and Thomas Talmage, and researchers have deduced that this mean they were sons-in-law. But the connection has not yet been confirmed.
