Stephen Smith died at the All Nations Hotel, owned by his son on 24th June 1916, at the age of 88 he is recorded as a farmer and emmigrated to Australia with his father, Mother and siblings on the ship "Briton" in 1844. He is buried with his wife Elizabeth in the Church of England Cemetery Bulladelah.
