Stephen married Elizabeth Lewis in 1730 in Duplin, Duplin, North Carolina, USA. Together they had the following children: James Williams Sr, / Cheraw; Sarah Williams; Mary (Williams) Webb; Elizabeth Godfrey.

Stephen married Easter Williams.

He died after 1760 in Churrah Creek, Burke Co, Ga.
