===Biography===

Martha Scott Bolling was born circa 1702 in Snow Creek, Virginia. Notes: There are some sources that say Martha was the daughter of Robert Bolling Jr. but since Martha was born so far from where Robert Bolling was, I find it highly unlikely. [1]
Marriage
Martha married Thomas Anthony Hall in Prince George, Virginia, in 1720 when she was 18 years old.
Children
- William was born in 1722 in Brunswick, Virginia.
- Jesse was born in 1746 in Lunenburg, Virginia.

Thomas Hall was born circa 1702 in Jonathan Creek, Lunenburg County, Virginia to JJohn Hall (1668-1764) and Elizabeth Walker (Ball) Hall (1679-1723). [1]
Marriage
Thomas married Martha Scott (Bolling) Hall (abt.1702-1794). Martha was born in Pigg River, Halifax (historic), Virginia Colony. She died in Bedford, VA in the year 1794. Her husband, Thomas Hall, died the same year from an Indian attack. In some forums she is the daughter of Robert Bolling and in others, her father is unknown. The dates do not match for her to be the daughter of Anne Cocke. I am thinking that perhaps she was raised by one or both.
Death
Thomas was killed in an Indian attack in Bedford County, Virginia on 10 May 1794.
Notes
The father of Jesse Hall is believed to be Thomas Hall, who was born on Jonathan Creek, Lunenburg County, VA ca 1702. He died in Bedford County, VA on 10 May 1794. - As told to Family down to my Husband Michael David Hall.
Masias, who was married to Unisiah Smith, came to the Long Fork of Shelby Creek on the Big Sandy (present-day Pike County, KY) between 1810 and 1820 along with his brother, REUBEN HALL, and other settlers. Masias and Reuben are presumed to have been born in North Carolina.
The father of Masias and Reuben Hall is reported to be JESSE HALL (Sr. or Jr.? -- sources conflict!), who married DICIE FRANKLIN. Jesse was born on Jonathan Creek, Lunenburg (Halifax) County, Virginia between 1746-1750. He died (presumably in Virginia) in 1833. This Jesse Hall appears to be the same person who acquired title to to 120 acres located on the north side of Pigg River, in Henry County, VA, on 19 October 1782. Many other families who subsequently migrated into eastern Kentucky (and intermarried with these Halls) had property in the same vicinity.
