------------------------------------
Possibly the son of Ensign Thomas Savage, but NOT by his known English wife Ann/Hannah. The timing is all wrong for that.
Y-DNA studies so far are inconclusive, due to uncertainties in the lineage of Ensign Thomas Savage. However, the descent from Thomas "the Carpenter" Savage has been fully verified.
Referred to John Savage (son of Ensign Thomas Savage") as "Cousin", per a deposition made 29 June 1646 at Northampton Co, VA by one Francis Pettet. This may have been an assumption based on having the same surname, or there may have been a relationship known then and since lost. ("Cousin" could be used to cover any relationship outside one's immediate family.)
Born c. 1610-1615, (presumably) England.
Married Rebecca (birth name unknown) circa 1643 at Northampton Co, VA.
Died before 28 February 1655/56 (widow Rebecca married John Smyth on that date).
