William Christoph Kleine, II was born on August 10, 1902, in Gonzales, Gonzales County, Texas, United States. His parents were William Christoph Kleine and Julia Bingham Kleine, Cauthorne. He was a Metro Goldwyn Meyer Studios Set Director/ Designer.

From a small town in Texas to Hollywood
In 1925 he left Austin, Texas, and moved to Los Angeles CA. He wanted to further his education after graduating from the University of Texas to work as a draftsman and further his education in film and set design at the University of California. He had financial assistance from his mother and inheritance from a few family estates he wisely invested in real estate for rental income, early in his career to supplement his salary, His employer by the mid-1930s was Metro Goldwyn Meyer Studios and pay during that time needed supplementing, By 1940 he owned a home in the Brentwood, Sunset Strip area of Hollywood Hills. He was a successful Studio Film Director and enjoyed his work for over 50 years before retiring and moving with his wife to Oxnard, California.

William married Jane Frances Clapp on November 26, 1945, in Los Angeles, California, USA.

He died on September 15, 1994 in Oxnard, Ventura, California, USA.
