Buried St Vaast Post Military Cemetry, Richebourg-L'Avoue which is in the Pas de Calais between Bethune and Armentieres. The First Battle of the Somme began on 1st July and the Battle of the Boar's Head on 30th June was a diversionary battle to try to convince the Germans that the attack would come elsewhere.
