    Zachariah McCubbins was born on 15 April 1752 at Baltimore Co., Maryland, USA.2 He married Sarah Elizabeth "Sally" Lane, daughter of John Fuller Lane and Elizabeth Cloud, on 26 December 1772 at Big Springs, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, USA.2 Zachariah McCubbins was buried in 1834 at Irish Cemetery, Tazewell, Claiborne Co., Tennessee, USA.2 He died on 24 October 1834 at Tazewell, Claiborne Co., Tennessee, USA, at age 82.2

    Zachariah McCubbins Zachariah McCubbin (McCubbins) owned the McCubbins Mill located on Clopper Road and Waring Station Road in Germantown, Maryland from 1783 to 1810. Francis Clopper, who bought the mill from McCubbin, added a third story to the mill in 1834. This grist mill used an undershotwater-powered wheel. The mill was later called the Clopper Mill, as it is named today.2
