The Antičić name comes from the village of Igrane in Croatia. About 60 people with the family name Antičić live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 50 percent. They are only located in in 6 Croatian cities and threee other places, mostly in Igrane in Makarska area (20), Split (10), Ploce (<10), Zagreb (<5), and in Rijeka (<5). Antičić families are known to have emigrated from Igrane to Mississippi USA, to New Zealand and to Western Australia and families with the name live in all those places today. In English speaking countries the spelling of the name is usually changed to Anticich.
