On December 16, 1928, science fiction writer Philip K. Dick was born. Dick was the first science fiction writer to be included in The Library of America series, which is dedicated to preserving America’s literary heritage by publishing the authoritative editions of America’s best and most significant writing. Many of his stories have been adapted to film, including Blade Runner, A Scanner Darkly and Minority Report.
