Researching your Nordic heritage? We’re excited to announce millions of digitized records from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland have been added to MyHeritage’s burgeoning collection of historical records. Spanning from as early as the 1600s, these records are available now through MyHeritage’s SuperSearch™ and will be matched to your Geni profiles using MyHeritage’s powerful Record Matching technology.

These collections contain over 90 million names and include birth, death, marriage and baptism records as well as census and many more records. This is a treasure trove of records, not only for people living today in these countries but for all whose families originated in the region.

In addition to significant content added today, MyHeritage is investing in digitizing more Nordic historical content and has signed new agreements which will result in a wealth of regional historical records to be added over the next few years.

How to view the new collections

This newly digitized content is available now through MyHeritage’s SuperSearch™, MyHeritage’s global search engine for historical records. These records are also easily accessible directly through your family’s Geni profiles.

Using MyHeritage’s powerful matching technologies, Geni users will automatically receive Record Matches whenever these new records match your relatives’ profiles, saving you a lot of valuable time in your family history research.

A MyHeritage data subscription is required to view these records in full. With a single data subscription, you will have unlimited access to all Record Matches and Smart Matches™ on Geni, as well as full access to MyHeritage’s SuperSearch™.
