I wanted to take a moment to extend a welcome to anyone who might be interested in helping build profiles for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team. I have started work on a select few, but I would really love some more help!

Our organizing project is located at http://www.geni.com/projects/U-S-at-the-2012-Summer-Olympics/11956

So far, I have begun trees for basketball players Sue Bird and Lindsay Marie Whalen, swimmers Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte, and gymnast Jordyn Marie Wieber. A few of them are very close to being hooked into the big tree, but they need a little bit more work, so please help if you're curious to see how you connect!

Michael Phelps is my second cousin 10 times removed's wife's second great niece's husband's fifth great nephew. Phew! That's a mouthful. I'll keep working on him and see if I can find more lines. Again, you're the best!

I'm working on Virginia planters right now, but I think later tonight I can connect Elizabeth Beisel into the big tree through her Scheuren ancestors. I found a huge, really well-sourced tree, so fingers crossed that our German members here on Geni already have some of that work done way up in the tree.
