William I (Old Norman: Williame I; circa 1028[1] – 9 September 1087), usually known as William the Conqueror and sometimes as William the Bastard,[2][a] was the first Norman King of England, reigning from 1066 until his death in 1087. Descended from Viking raiders, he had been Duke of Normandy since 1035 under the title of William II.

William the Conqueror born 1028 in Normandy, France, D 1087, in a freck accident while in battle. He fell on the pommel of his horseand injured an organ. He died on Sept 9 , 1o87, His servents robned him blind after his. By the time they got him back to England his body was so full of gases that he exploded all over the church , NOT a very dinaified end for a mighty kig!

Yes, he did . The problem ws , he was very heavy at that point of his life when he died. It took a long time to get him home and hisstomache bloated and they couldn't get him into the tob , So they tried to force him into it. He exploted, spraying all his clothed with whatever. Making the whole place stink. The mourners took off. They cleaned him off and buried him quietly.
