Other profiles on Geni for Elizabeth Livingston (now stacked on top) Contradict the info about her found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clan_Buchanan
"15th – George Buchanan,[76][77] (Guthrie Smith identifies him as 10th Chief and Buchanan of Auchmar identifies him as 17th Chief) succeed his grandfather, Walter 14th of Buchanan, in 1526 and died 1560. He first married Margaret Edmonstone and by her a son (John [Guthrie Smith identifies him as 11th Chief but then goes on to advise that the Chiefship passed from John’s father to John’s son[78] and Buchanan of Auchmar identifies him as 18th Chief[79 who married Elizabeth Livingston and by her had George[79] who succeeded his grandfather) and two daughters (Helen and Susanna). Second he married Janet Cunningham and by her had a son (William first ancestor of the cadets of Auchmar) and a daughter (Margaret)."

The other profiles for her, however, have no sources to use to compare.

I've seen Elizabeth Levinstoun/Livingston the dau. of Alexander Lord Livingstone or Lord Johne Levingstoun of Castlecary who was the 1st wife of John Buchanan son of Margaret Edmonstone & George Buchanan. I don't recall seeing her married to John Buchanan of Gartincaber son of Thomas Buchanan of Carbeth & Janet Buchanan, he had no wife listed in Strathendrick .... or in Stirnet.

John Buchanan of Buchanan & Elizabeth Levingstoun/Livingstone had the son George who married Mary Graham.

John Buchanan of Gartincaber had the son George who married Elizabeth Leckie.

Hope this helps and I will be sourcing some references for the Buchanans. Please comment on those Documents were you see that information may be wrong.

There was a duplicate profile for John Buchanan of Gartincaber who had the son George who married Elizabeth Leckie, I have merged them in, he is also listed as husband of Elizabeth Livingston, but did not merge the two Elizabeth Livingston's.

I have left the newer Elizabeth Livingston connected but have removed from John Buchanan of Gartincaber the Elizabeth who was wife of the John Buchanan of Buchanan and had the son George who married Mary Graham.

I do not know if the wife of John Buchanan of Gartincaber and mother of George who married Elizabeth Leckie was a Elizabeth Livingston but this seemed the most reasonable resolve of the matter for now until more information can be found.
