If you visit the project you want to link to, take a look look at the URL. Then you see the code displayed.

So not sure what happened when you did the copying and paste bit, but in the process those character accent codes disappeared from their URL

I left this subject list; My husband's ancestry and heritage
in tact, so you can try it out to solve it yourself.

I don't know what happened. I cut and pasted the URLs. Then I also cut and pasted from the cut and pasted URL to add the piped title when there was a diacritic.
