Justin Swanstrom says "I'm intrigued by the life story of Henry Talbot, b5. He was born in England, then taken as a child to become an 1820 Settler in South Africa, then as an adult became an 1861 Mormon pioneer in Utah.
Such an interesting pattern. I thought it might be a-typical but Wikipedia tells me, "The first Latter-day Saint missionaries to what is now South Africa, Jesse Haven, Leonard I. Smith and William H. Walker, arrived in Cape Colony at Cape Town on 19 April 1853. The first LDS branch was organized at Mowbray in August 1853. The mission closed in 1865 with most of the converts having emigrated to Utah."
Do we have any other profiles on Geni for South African people who moved to Utah in the 19th century?"
