Andrew Anstruther, of Anstruther

There appears to be some discrepancy after a recent merge.

Questions - irregularities -

1. What was the name of his first wife - Christina, Christian or Margaret Sandilands?
2. Who was the mother of the children - Geni has James, Alison, Agnes, Robert, Marieta John Anstruther of that Ilk and David - is there a source for these children?

Andrew Anstruther of Anstruther was the son of Robert de Anstruther of Anstruther and Elizabeth Balfour. He married, firstly, Christian Sandilands, daughter of Sir James Sandilands, 5th of Calder and Margaret Kinloch. He married, secondly, Janet Borthwick.
He succeeded to the title of Lord of Anstruther [feudal baron] in 1483. He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.

In 1483, Andrew Anstruther of Anstruther confirmed the barony and fought at Flodden in 1513. He married Christina Sandilands a descendant of Sir James Sandilands of Calder and Princess Jean, daughter of Robert II. His son, David served with Francis I of France in the French Scots Regiment, fighting at Pavia in 1520.

In 1483, Andrew Anstruther of Anstruther confirmed the right to a barony and fought against the English at the Battle of Flodden Field in 1513 during the Anglo-Scottish Wars.

His second son, David, fought at the Battle of Pavia in 1520 in the service of Francis I of France in the French Scots Regiment. This line ended with the death of the last Baron d’Anstrude in 1928.
