I have death, baptism and/or birth notices for every female in Werner John Carstens 's maternal line except for the link from Christina van de Caab, SM/Prog to her daughter Helena Christina Kilian (van Pellen) .

Sorry, pressed enter by accident. Should we be able to confirm this last two we may just have a new mtDNA progenitor.
Haplogroup R5a2 is a branch of the maternal tree of humankind and it's age is between 10,500 and 22,000 years. R5a2 is found especially among Dravidic groups of India and Sri Lanka.

Any ideas where to look for source documents?

There are no matches for R5a2 at FTDNA or GEDmatch at the moment.

Charmaine ek e-pos vir jou Drummond en vriende se e-posse dan kan julle miskien maklike praat.

Another possibility is that Christina van die Kaap and Helena Christina van Betten may be the same person. I've noticed quite a few van Bettens in the Netherlands and R5a2 also occurs there.

And just like that, we have a new mtDNA progenitor! Source added.

Well done! I've connected her to the mtDNA project. Can you add her and your late husband into the text? I'm sorry for your very recent loss.

Could you add me to the project please Sharon, only then will I be able to add the information. Should I also set the mtDNA Progenitors image as her profile image?

Private User If you take a look at my husbands' profile on FTDNA you will see it says no matches. His profile is on Cape Dutch / Kaaps-Hollands project. 23and Me, I can't access because we didn't test with them. I can't submit his results to the Genographic project because he's deceased, so I can't compare that either.
With all of those you mentioned, there's no information that could help me to link his tree to any of the other tests as I no information to go on other than numbers. On Geni there are no other people with test results for this Haplogroup.
