We have family in common. I am interested in Leonora Mackie and her husband John Henry Mackie. We have only just discovered your family line after searching many, many years for John Henry Mackie and his brother Charles. For many years we wondered where my mother-in-law's unusual name came from, and that of her mother before her - VALTIE! It looks like the name came from Leonora (nee Shoveller) Mackie! It is the shortened name of her elder daughter and a granddaughter also has this name. This was a great revelation to us! Could we please share family information as time allows.
