He's NOT listed as "father" of anyone.

This profile is not connected to ANY other profiles. Technically, it can not be connected to anyone, unless a Curator enables this (not going to happen).

The only reason that this profile exists at all is because people kept on adding it again and again. You might notice that THIS profile has 55 managers. Adam of Eden has 300. Parts of the Biblical tree have 500 managers per profile. So G-d was added a lot. It became futile to keep on deleting this profile, so we disconnected it.

I have cleaned up the "About me" section, and also removed the block of text that is no longer relevant.

Um. No. You jumped the gun on that one.
I was speaking of the profile from which the discussion originated God, the Holy Spirit and only using the profile that You are referring to as something to refer to when viewing it.

Of course I know that "we" disconnected it (the profile You refer to) because I am one of "we". My block of text was quite relevant at that juncture. Now I'm saying the same thing I said then, but about the profile I'M referring to in this discussion.

With regard to God, the Holy Spirit please see the old about section for "God Almighty ." as reproduced here

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God

father: a man in relation to his natural child or children.

creator: one that creates, usually by bringing something new or original into being; especially capitalized: God

And so, by the very definitions of the words, God is not and cannot be the Father of Adam, but rather He is the Creator of Adam, and as such can not and should not be connected to Adam on Geni as Adam's parent.

I hadn't realized that this was a profile-specific discussion so I didn't see any link to THIS profile. Looking at it, it's a new duplicate tree. Thankfully it's a small one, and created by the user, rather than as a "user" name "Adam". People are constantly adding new copies of this. It seems, that for many, this is the "default" way to check out the site. I have not checked for new copies in a few months, because, frankly, I'm getting RATHER tired of constantly having to merge them in.

So I will be chopping off Adam, Eve & Co. and merging them into the main line. I will chop off Jesus & Co. and merge THAT into the main copy. And finally probably merge this profile into the God profile that I referred to. Problem solved.

A quick search finds AT LEAST another 24 copies of Adam+Eve+Seth (in 4 different spelling variants).

Oh well.

Dan- God has judged me is part of an interesting 17 member tree that was found in the Surname list under "God".

Even if God Almighty was their father, he should not be listed due to the reasons Shmuel gave, which sums up my thoughts very well.

According to the New Covenant Scriptures, Luke 3 37 & 38 the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalalel, the son of Cainan, the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

(Just saying : ) It's semantics basically whether you call Almighty God the Creator or the Father of Adam. Messiah is also called the Son of God because both Adam and the seed of the woman, "the last Adam" (Messiah), were not born of the initiative of man.

The Bible also mentioned the " The Sons of God" which had intercourse with the earthly women out of which sprung the ''giants"
Now how did that sons come to be.? They took on an earthly (human) body when so prefers. With the flood hey chance back into spiritual beings and thus doesn't drown with the rest of humans. They are the Demons that are still pestering us with silly thoughts.

I agree with Daniel

God is said to be the Father of Jesus, not the Father of Adam and Eve.
God is said to be the Creator of Adam and Eve, not the Creator of Jesus.
Words have meanings, and are clearly defined.

And Jesus is not my 29th great grandfather's fiancée's daughter's husband's wife's brother's wife's aunt's husband's 18th great aunt's husband's 7th cousin four times removed's husband's nephew . . .even though Geni currently says that he is.
