Hello Joanna, I wonder if you could resolve an issue in my mind about this profile. The Scarpa family on Corfu was based in Giannades and there is one that stands out as a diplomat and Minister of Foreign Affairs. He is noted as William (Γουλιέλμο). This profile appears to be him. Now there is another profile named Louis-Spyridon Scarpa, also known as Γουλιέρμο (Guillermo), who was briefly married to Maria Desylla, first woman mayor of Corfu Town. They has two daughters and were divorced soon afterwards. My question is, is it possible that these are the same men. Both laywers who were elected into national government. However, the names are confusing?

Here is the "other" man: Louis-Spyridon Skarpas

Kind regards,

Alex

Hello Alexander,

sorry for this very late reply. I have been adding some information on the Scarpa family. Indeed they have bought the Mollari estate in Giannades, Marmaro and Kanakades, and they were originally from Karpathos (Scarpanto), hence the Scarpa surname (this according to my father).
Goulielmos (Willy Scarpa) was a lawyer and also an MP and diplomat, and the father of Fifi Poyago.
The other person, Luigi (Gigi) Scarpa was married to Marie Desylla (nee Capodistria) but the marriage did not last long. They had two daughters, Nena (Eleni) Boufidis and Daria Eriketti Scarpa. The two profiles are not the same person.
Daria was married to ? Koskoros and had to children with him: Alexander Koskoros (who lives in Corfu) and Marilena Koskoros (1951-2021). The latter was maried to Dimitiros Goutos. In second marriage Daria was married to Dionysis Carrer, and had one daugher, Amalia.
I hope this is useful.

Thank you Joanna, very helpful indeed.
