Stephen Hardisty - I think there are a couple of families of Hardisty with similar names, kids born at similar times wi similar names

I can't get the Hardesty's to match up on any of the online websites; There are William Hardestys and Stephens and Stephen Williams and Thomas's and they don't match. Geni doesn't match with wiki doesn't match with Ancestry. If anyone can clarify - that would be so appreciated. If it's not possible - then that is worth noting. I might just be on the wrong track. But this STephen Hardesty, son of Thomas and husband of Ann, born in 1557 seems to be a different person than my Stephen Hardesty, born 1550, son of William, husband of Ann. The Stephen you note here apparently had children named Ann, Christopher, George and Thomas. The Children of "my" Stephen were Ann, John and William. Can anyone confirm for me that indeed these are cousins but not us making a mess of the same man?

I have not worked in this area for a long time last i did but at one time it seemed to go around in a vicious circle because of merging of profiles - and confusing the Steven's & William's backwards In trying to connect ALL Hardesty's, Hardisty's & Hardistie's together as one family

there needs to be found birth, death marriage death records wills estates that would document these profiles - - but i have not been able to find many that would

Erica Howton - As I said in the other discusion post I am not sure if I am that much of an expert as Erica claims - or just a frustrated Hardesty descendant trying to clean-up misconceptions - trying to prove and disprove all the info out there on this line here is what has been difinetely worked out -
There is much conflicting - info between MyHeritage, Wiki Tree, farmilsearch.org and Ancestry especially when profiles are entries with no dates, places etc. - some of the earlier generations invilving the common names of John, Steven,, William can run in a vicious circle to nowhere

All I can offer this is the best outline with the documentation that can be found that I have come up with my 43 years of researching this line and my my soon to be 10 years ( November 26, 2009)

So help me understand; the names with the same numbers, for example "12" (You have a William, a George and a John) were all brothers? Or of the same generation? I know I am related to the William.
